Insurance 1 – formerly KMC – has been operating as an independent broker according to HGB 93 exclusively in the interests of its clients since 1988. From the very beginning, we focused on solving complex questions for discerning private clients. We initially provided our services to private clients who were company owners, executives and freelancers. However, since our business relations are fundamentally geared to a permanent partnership and we are obliged to provide best advice, the expectations of our clients very soon focused on solutions in their own professional environment as well.

Over time contacts and networks were established which enable us today to offer our corporate clients full expertise for complex insurance and financing solutions as well on the national and global market. This applies to all standards and – thanks to our approval as Lloyd's OMC – particularly to tailored solutions for special challenges, mainly at international level. We followed this market positioning by changing our name in 2010 from KMC to Insurance 1.
