An insurance market for individual security

The market place for cross-border financing and coverage solutions

Companies - and long since not just large corporations - are being forced, in the face of international competition, to expand their activities across national borders. To do so, however, requires very special, modern cover concepts which respond flexibly to the conditions prevailing in the respective countries and their applicable law. Lloyd's of London, for example, is the ideal partner to meet today's global market requirements with its wealth of know-how in direct insurance and reinsurance in the London financial district and international experience in the British Commonwealth.

Most lack the right access

German clients and brokers do not have access to the London market but this is precisely what most need, and this is where Insurance 1 comes in: we can open the door to the world's leading insurance market and all its potential.

300 hundred years of tradition

Lloyd's is not an insurer but a specialised insurance market with 62 insurers (so-called syndicates) which underwrite the individual risks of some 160 authorised London-based brokers. This cooperation between insurers and brokers within the insurance market is based on a code of ethics which has applied for more than 300 years. Compliance with this code is strictly supervised and secures the high stability of this market.

No risk even in times of crisis

The insurance market spreads the risks throughout the different syndicates. This ensures a high level of stability which was last proven again in the crisis of 2008 and 2009. Even where claims are extremely expensive, the financial basis is never at risk. No wonder that, apart from global players, international showbusiness stars and sports personalities swear by Lloyd's.

A policy for every eventuality

The London insurance market is quite rightly considered to be "the address" when it comes to insurance cover for "the impossible". This is why a Lloyd's policy is regarded as a recommendation for the insured and its products or services.
